About Me

Broadly speaking, I am a historian of the transatlantic world in the seventeenth century. More specifically, I work on puritan sociability and correspondence in New England, England and the transatlantic. I use both qualitative and quantitative analysis in my work, providing new ways of understanding social connection, mediation and dispute resolution, what it meant to people, and how they utilised their links to one another. Currently I am focussed on puritans and puritanism, but I plan to broaden my scope in future research.
