About Me

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow studying the history of Canada’s supply-managed dairy, egg, and poultry industries in the Department of History at the University of Waterloo.  I also recently completed a Mitacs Accelerate Internship in which I reported on female leadership in the Canadian egg farming industry.  My previous research includes investigations of women in agriculture and agricultural societies and fairs in Ontario in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.  My broader research interests include rural history, food history, agricultural policy history, women’s and gender history, environmental history, animal studies, material cultural history, sport history, and Canadian history more generally.
