About Me

Ruth Lawlor is a Junior Research Fellow in History at Queens’ College, Cambridge. She received her PhD from Cambridge in 2019. Her work on war and sexual violence has appeared in Diplomatic History, Modern American History, and the Journal of Military History. Lawlor’s book manuscript, Law and Disorder: Rape, Race and U.S. Military Justice in World War II, received an Honorable Mention in the Dissertation Prize in International History awarded by the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations.
