- About Me
I received my Masters of History at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2011 and went on to receive a Masters of Photographic Preservation and Collections Management at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2015. In the same year, I won the Photographic Historical Society of Canada thesis prize for my paper, “British Official First World War Photographs, 1916-1918: Arranging and Contextualizing a Collection of Prints at the Art Gallery of Ontario.” I give lectures, host workshops, and curate exhibitions on the history of war photography (with an emphasis on photographic objects). In 2019, I was the recipient of the TMU Image Centre Elaine Ling Fellowship for my project: “‘Somewhere in France:’ Contextualizing the Image Centre’s Collection of Canadian First World War Photographs.”
I am also the author of a forthcoming biography of war photographer William Ivor Castle with Wilfrid Laurier University Press.
