I am an Associate Professor in History in the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Southern Cross University, Australia. Through an interest in environmental history I turned to the study of food, it’s production and preparation. I have published on food as communication, nonhuman animals and tastescapes as an expression of the impact of eating on land use. I have a scholarly interest and commitment to community engagement and community engaged learning.
