Cora Beth Knowles works for The Open University, teaching Roman History and Latin to adult learners. As a working class, autistic academic, she is keen to promote the study of the Ancient World to under-represented groups. She maintains an active, student-facing website which won the Open University Award for Recognition of Excellence in Teaching in 2020. She researches Latin literature (particularly history-writing), online pedagogy in Classics teaching, and the use of Roman stories in the nineteenth century.
