About Me

Biography

 

I hold a Ph.D. in history and a graduate certificate in WGS from York University. I recently finished a postdoctoral fellowship at the WGS program of the Colegio de Mexico, in Mexico City where I was born and raised. I have experience teaching Latin American politics and history, along with gender studies, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Currently I am working on a book manuscript that will explore the debates on prostitution and sex trafficking against the backdrop of revolutionary politics and the consolidation of state authority in Mexico from the 1920s to the 1940s.
