About Me

Ann W. Duncan (Ph.D., University of Virginia) is Associate Professor of Religion at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD.  Her research and teaching focus on intersections of religion and public life including religion and politics, new religious movements, the religious “nones” and motherhood and American Christianity. She is the author of articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Religion and Nova Religio, among others. She is co-editor of The University is Indifferent: Philosophical and Theological Perspectives on Mad Men (Cascade, 2016) and Church-State Issues in America Today (Praeger, 2009). She is currently completing a book manuscript titled  Sacred Pregnancy: The Sacred Living Movement and Motherhood as Religious Experience.
