About Me

I am a PhD student at Trinity College Dublin researching how public history was used after partition to express and promote identities in the two Irish states, and also using this research to investigate the effects of a deeper engagement with public history on the public.

I am a teaching assistant on the Trinity undergraduate module ‘Life in Modern Ireland’ and work with Scholars Ireland and the Trinity Access Programme to deliver tutorials on public history to students in disadvantaged schools.

I am interested in Irish history, public history and social history, particularly in the late nineteenth and throughout the twentieth century.

I hope to apply my research and findings to work promoting reconciliation, critical thinking and historical enquiry in young people.
