About Me

I am currently applying to PhD programs to study Architectural History with a focus on Historic Preservation and Sustainability.

I have an MPhil in the History and Philosophy of Art from the University of Kent at Canterbury. My graduate thesis was “Re-Imaging the Family: Examining Representations of Domesticity and Identity, and the Return of Figuration in the Neo-Expressionist paintings of Rainer Fetting, Eric Fischl, Robert Colescott and Ida Applebroog.” I have a BA in Art History with a concentration in Italian and Printmaking from the University of Dallas, my undergraduate thesis focused on “Fin-de-Siècle Paris: Degeneration, Absinthism, and the Representation of the ‘Absinthe Gaze’ in Café Paintings.” In 2002 I was accepted to the Rising Stars Program at SCAD and studied Historic Preservation while there.

I began my own consulting company called The Roaming Ramekins in 2015. I have over a decade of experience in the nonprofit and corporate realm. My background includes development and fundraising for museums and social services nonprofits, property management, office logistics, event planning, writing, editing and content creation as well as visual and interior art/design direction.

I am an active member of the College Art Association, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Society for Architectural Historians.
