Courtney Shah received her PhD from the University of Houston. She has taught both US and World History at Lower Columbia College for eleven years. Her specialties include race, gender, and the early twentieth century. Her first book, Sex Ed, Segregated: The Quest for Sexual Knowledge in Progressive Era America, was published by the University of Rochester Press in 2015.
