About Me

My research considers the production of Jewish authenticity, intergenerational tension, and the texture of everyday life in Zionist, Yiddishist, and denominational summer camps in the American postwar period. My broader scholarly interests include American Jewish history, the history of youth and children, and Yiddish Studies. I am also the founder and executive producer of  Vaybertaytsh: A Feminist Podcast in Yiddish, and I serve on the editorial board of In geveb: A Journal of Yiddish Studies.

Recent Publications

“Tisha B’Av, “Ghetto Day,” and the Production of “Authentic” Jews at Postwar Jewish Summer Camps,” The Journal of Modern Jewish Studies, 2018, Volume 17, Issue 2.
