About Me

Jessica Cale is a historian, blogger, and historical fiction author. She holds a BA (Hons) in Ancient and Medieval History and an MFA in Creative and Media Writing from Swansea University. Her research is primarily focused on sex and contraception throughout British history.

She has contributed to BBC History, History Vault, The Observer, Subtext, Plugged In, and The Libertine, among others. She is a member of the Royal Historical Society and the Historical Novel Society. You can find her on her history blog, Dirty, Sexy History.
