About Me

E.L. is a PhD student in the History of the Exact Sciences at Brown University. She works on the circulation of mathematical and astronomical knowledge between the ancient Near East, India, Greece, and Rome, and particularly how that knowledge is recorded in language.

She’s an active “internet” “writer,” on topics ranging from ancient science for public audiences to modern media (with frequent pit-stops in game studies). When not writing — academic or otherwise — you can find E.L. training in the trapeze, aerial silks, or other circus aparatus.
