About Me

I am currently an Associate Professor of history at the University of Oklahoma and author of Tiny You: A Western History of the Anti-Abortion Movement (Berkeley: University of California Press, 2020). I specialize broadly in histories of gender, sexuality and race in the North American West. I am also currently OU’s resident expert in the history of Oklahoma. Beginning in summer 2020, I will also assume the role of book review editor for the Journal of Women’s History. I received a PhD from the University of Wisconsin and a MA from Utah State University, where I served as an editorial fellow for the Western Historical Quarterly.
