- About Me
- My research is situated on the crossroads of rural history, Andean ethnohistory, environmental humanities and critical global studies. Over the last 10 years, I lived and worked in Belgium, Bolivia, Peru, the UK and Colombia, researching issues around communal land rights and land reform, commodity frontiers and peasant-indigenous protest, mining, and socio-environmental conflicts.I currently research changing human-nature relations in peasant communities of the Colombian páramos as part of the NERC-funded project ‘Integrating ecological and cultural histories to inform sustainable and equitable futures for the Colombian páramos’ at the University of York.I am a founding member of the Belgian Latin America network ENCUENTRO
