About Me

I am a historian specialising in the history of technology, cultural history of technology and the environment in modern and contemporary history. After studying history and German language and literature in Düsseldorf and Bochum, I worked at the Leibniz Centre for Contemporary History on the topic of “Subcultures and Countercultures of Computer Use”. I completed my doctorate on the history of german hacker cultures at the University of Potsdam in 2019. I continued my research in history of digitalisation with studies on Computer Integrated Manufacturing and the history of teleworking. I am currently researching the history of diving since the 19th century.
