My name is Gerry Faber, I’m a history teacher at a secondary school in the Netherlands.
I love working with my students, especially on my favourite subject: the Shoah.
At my secondary school I have made projects on this subject just for my students and ones that include students from other schools as well. In one project I take students (pre-university level) to Krakau where we visit Auschwitz. In another project we let students from the same grade and level but with different backgrounds (christian, islamic and atheist) from different schools work together on finding out the history of a concentration camp in the Netherlands
Now I embark on a new adventure; getting my PhD. My subject? Funktionshaftlingen in Mauthausen
