- About Me
As a retired educator, I started writing about South Carolina heroines during the Revolutionary War thirteen years ago. Publishing four biographies about the lives of four women has led me to speaking in schools, educational conferences, historical and genealogical chapters, and various Rev War sites in SC and NC. My fifth book explored the lives of women in my husband’s family, who left farms in Appalachia to start new lives working in cotton mills; they are also heroines.
I used storytelling in my teaching and have found another voice in writing and telling the stories of unknown women who lived extraordinary lives.
