I am a Dutch PhD candidate at Sorbonne University in Paris, France and Leiden University in the Netherlands. I am currently doing research on the colony of New Netherland, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the role of women, in the early 17th century. I am particularly analysing women, both Dutch and Indigenous, as cultural brokers (or intermediaries).
