About Me

I am an assistant professor of Atlantic World History at Emory University. I am currently finishing my first book, a socio-legal study of emancipation in eastern Cuba, a non-plantation area. My second project will be a longue durée legal history of corporatism in the Iberian Atlantic. I received my PhD from the Doctoral Program in Anthropology and History at the University of Michigan in 2016.
