About Me

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the John Rylands Research Institute at the University of Manchester. I received a PhD in 2013 from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice with a thesis on the production of Hebrew Bibles in the Iberian Peninsula during the Middle Ages.

I have catalogued the collections of Ketubbot (Jewish marriage contracts) currently held at the Library of the Museo Correr and at the Archivio di Stato of Venice. Currently I am cataloguing the collections of manuscripts in Hebrew scripts from the John Rylands Library.

My present research investigates manuscripts from Early Modern Yemen, while focusing on their production and on the interactions between the book culture of this country and the manuscript and printing cultures of the Arabian Peninsula and Europe.
