About Me

I am a modern Jewish historian, specializing in the diasporic experience of East European Jews in the twentieth century. My research focuses on Jewish family life, legal pluralism, and the migration experiences of Jews in France and the United States. I hold an MA in History from Yale University, and a PhD in History from Brandeis University. I am currently teaching Jewish studies at American University.
