About Me

I am a Ph.D candidate studying Modern Europe and Britain.  I completed my BA in history at the College of Idaho and my MA in Contemporary British History at King’s College London.  My BA thesis focused on miscarriages of justice against Irish minorities living in England during the Terror.  My MA thesis used the “Permissive Society” legislation of the 1960s to explore the changing relationship between individuals and the state, state control, and regulation.

My current work explores the treatment of and experiences of minority populations living in the UK.  My dissertation looks at refugee industrialist immigration in the 1930s and its impact on rural regions of Great Britain.
