About Me

Ryan Hilliard is an Assistant Professor of History at Clemson University who specializes in the study of women, gender, and sexuality in early modern France. Her current project focuses on the social and cultural history of single women in eighteenth-century Paris. She received her Ph.D. in History from UCLA, where she was also an affiliate of the Department of Gender Studies.
