- About Me
Madison Heslop is a PhD candidate in History at the University of Washington where she works on how the relationships between Seattle, Vancouver, and the Pacific manifested in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, focusing on the urban waterfront. The intent of her dissertation is to contribute to a better understanding of the place of North America—especially the trans-border area defined by the Salish Sea—in the Pacific.
Madison’s work has received support from the Fulbright Program, the Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest, and the Western History Association.
