About Me

I’m a medievalist working on political literature and manuscript culture, primarily in late-medieval France. I research the ways individuals used writing to intervene in political conversations in chaotic circumstances marked by civil war, a mentally ill king, and uncertain religious leadership in the medieval Catholic Church. My current projects focus on the texts and manuscripts (including circulation, paratext, images, etc) of authors such as Philippe de Mézières, Pierre Salmon, Christine de Pizan, and Honorat Bovet.

After studying in Canada and the UK, I moved to Denmark to join the Centre for Medieval Literature, a Danish Centre for Excellence based jointly at the University of Southern Denmark (History Department) and the University of York (Department of English and Related Literature).
