About Me

I am a PhD student at the University of Cambridge. My research lies at the intersection of intellectual and cultural history. I focus on liberal publishing houses of twentieth-century Germany, particularly during the Weimar years and in exile. The aim is to reconstruct the infrastructures of liberalism and to follow the second generation of Germany’s social liberals as they adapt their ideological heritage to the conditions of a modern mass democracy.
