About Me

Clinical Assistant Professor of History, University at Buffalo

Broadly defined I am a historian who falls somewhere at the nexus of technology, business, science, medicine, and gender. Less abstractly, I am the historian of deodorant. My current manuscript project is a social and cultural history of deodorant in the United States. I am particularly interested in the gendering of deodorant–and its fragrance.
