About Me

I am a second year, part time (currently on Maternity leave) PhD candidate at Birkbeck, University of London. I am currently researching “Rules of Informal Spaces at The Court of Louis XV 1726-1764”. Looking at the rules of etiquette and social interaction observed in less-public spaces of Court during the reign of Louis XV.

Previously I graduated from Lancaster University in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in History, writing my dissertation on the Venetian Empire 1204-1500. And then from Durham in 2012 with an MA in Medieval History, writing my dissertation on the relationship between political stability and economic prosperity in Genoa and Barcelona 1200-1500.
