About Me

My research focuses on the history of medicine, in particular, of midwifery and women’s health from the 18th century to the present. Geographically, it is mainly focused on the Holy Roman Empire though I have some knowledge of the UK in the 18th and 19th Century.

I have previously worked on the concept of human dignity and its evolution through history. This also involved its understanding under Christianity and non-christian faith groups.

I have taught medical history, history of art, and general history of the Holy Roman Empire.
