I am a senior high school ancient history teacher in Australia. I develop curriculum, assessment and student activities. My key focus areas are Mediterranean societies, but I have become literate in Viking societies as they pertain to senior high school assessment. Currently, I am developing new curriculum documents in line with new state policy. I will be presenting at the Queensland History Teachers’ Association about these new developments and how they pertain to units on Rome. I am also developing units of word about ancient indigenous archaeology sites such as Lake Mungo.
