About Me

Maria H. Oen completed her PhD in Art History in 2015 (University of Oslo). Before joining the Dept. of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University as a Senior Lecturer in Art History in 2024, Oen has been Deputy Director of The Swedish Institute in Rome m, Senior lecturer in Art History at the Dept. of Culture and Aesthetics, Stockholm University, a Visiting Researcher (postdoctoral) at The Warburg Institute, London, and a Marie Curie Fellow at the Centre for Medieval Studies, Stockholm University. Oen’s research focuses on visual culture in Italy, c.1200-1550.
