About Me

I am a PhD Student at the University of Arkansas. My research interests lie in the early Atlantic World and vast Early America, with a particular focus on fugitive enslaved Africans, early border formations, and print culture. My dissertation examines the movement of fugitive slaves and their influence on colonial understandings of borders prior to the American Revolution. I also maintain a secondary interest in subaltern studies and spatial theory in the early Atlantic World.
