About Me

I study the history of meat carving and other decorative displays on the table, and specifically focusing on early modern Europe and the use of ephemeral materials, like meat, sugar, fruit, and even butter. These practices were spread through the peculiar format of the carving manual.

I also know modern prints (especially Grosvenor School linocuts, Richard Hamilton, and German Expressionism), but my research right now is centered on bombastic early modern banquets.
