I am a current graduate student earning my MA in the History of Art at the University of Leicester. I hope to eventually earn my PhD in Museum Studies from Leicester as well.
Currently, I am working on my MA dissertation which is examining the collecting of French Art in Britain ca. 1680-1780, and how the collecting of these objects relates to growing sense of nationalism in each country, as well the relationship to this collecting to the political ties at the time.
My research interests involve the history of collecting, issues of taste, and cultural identity vis-à-vis the arts, particularly in France and Britain, though my research may take me further afield.
