- About Me
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in History and a Ph.D. in Latin American and Caribbean History at New York University. I’m an Assistant Professor of Caribbean History at Florida State University.
My research focuses on gender, race, and labor in the Hispanic Caribbean. My book manuscript is a history of domestic service in Cuba from the abolition of slavery to the present. I teach courses at FSU on Caribbean and Latin American history across centuries.
I have traveled extensively to Cuba over the last 10 years, and will continue to visit the island as I continue my research for current and future projects.
