About Me

I am a PRODiG Fellow/Visiting Scholar in Gender and Women’s Studies at SUNY Plattsburgh (2020-2022). I am a historian of childhood and youth with a focus on 20th century African-American girlhood. My current book project examines discourses of health and beauty for African-American adolescent girls in the early 20th century urban North.
