About Me

I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Childhood Studies at Rutgers University-Camden. My research interests include the history of childhood and youth in the United States (with a focus on African-American children and youth), girlhood studies, history of education, and physical culture and sport studies. My dissertation project examines the history of health education for African-American girls during the early to mid twentieth century.
