Amy Mattson Lauters, PhD, serves as Chair and Professor of Mass Media at Minnesota State University, Mankato. A former journalist and freelance web designer, Lauters focuses on convergence with her research, drawing on media history to partially explain and discuss contemporary media practice. She teaches writing and visual principles for MSU. Lauters has published three books and numerous publications in and out of her field.
