About Me

Holley Snaith is an independent historian specializing in 20th century American history.

She began her career in public history, interning at the Little White House in Warm Springs, and later working with institutions including the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, the National Park Service at Eleanor Roosevelt’s home, Val-Kill, and the Richard Nixon Foundation.

Her writing has appeared in publications such as American Heritage Magazine and PBS American Masters, where she has contributed longform historical features on figures including Elie Wiesel, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and Patsy Cline.

She is currently at work on a narrative nonfiction book pertaining to music history.

In addition to her writing, Holley is the host of the history podcast Say It With History, where she interviews historians, authors, and cultural voices and shares conversations grounded in historical research. She also speaks about her research on podcasts and other media platforms. Through her work, she is committed to making history engaging, nuanced, and widely accessible.
