About Me

Paige Gulley received a dual BA in History and French as well as an MA in War & Society from Chapman University in Orange, CA. She is currently pursuing a PhD at TCU in Fort Worth, TX. Drawing on her background as an editor, she also serves as the Manuscript Editor for the Journal of Military History.

Paige’s research focuses on American Red Cross women who worked in mobile service clubs (“clubmobiles”) during the Second World War. Her master’s thesis explored the interpersonal relationships between clubmobile women serving in the ETO. Her dissertation will continue to investigate the lives of clubmobile women both during and after their service, addressing questions of gendered power relations and the long-term effects of wartime service.
