Having started out as an art historian, I specialised in textiles several years ago, and now combine both fields with each other. My main areas of interest are the history of lace and whitework embroidery, with a focus on women’s history and gender studies. I believe that art produced with threads is no less significant than art produced with paint – it is only based on different means of expression.
In my free time I enjoy practising various embroidery and lace-making techniques.
