About Me

Hi there,

I am a current PhD student at Birkbeck, University of London specializing in early modern, British history. I have a passion for London and its history and am researching early modern women’s manuscript writing. I have a book coming out this summer about women and crime and I have written a variety of articles for The Historian’s Magazine as well as for History With Jackson and A Little Insight. I belong to the Women’s History Circle, the NACBS and have a wide variety of interests including women’s history, royal history and the history of medicine, crime and science. My first book is now out from Pen and Sword Books! ‘Women Who Kill: A History of Britain’s Most Dangerous Women’ dives deep into the lives of female killers over the last 700 years and explores the world of crime and punishment in Britain for these dastardly and desperate women.
