About Me

Melissa is a Canadian Historian based in Victoria, British Columbia. She has a Bachelor of Arts with an Honors in History and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Victoria. Her research examines war correspondents and media coverage during the First and Second World Wars. She is also working on expanding her graduate research to complete a book on the Salvation Army Doughnut Girls during the First World War. In addition to her academic work, Melissa is a contract researcher for historical documentary dramas and a board member of the Friends of the British Columbia Archives based out of Vancouver Island.
