About Me

Dr. Le Blanc specializes in the archaeology and numismatics (coinage) of the Roman provinces, particularly in the Near East. Her current research explores Roman civic symbols, local myths, and foundation imagery on the coinage of provincial cities. Her next project considers Roman savings and money banks.

She has participated in excavations in Israel, England, and Montenegro and is co-director of WIRE: Women in the Roman East, a digital project focused on the lives of women in the Eastern Mediterranean (see more at
