About Me

Citlalli Domínguez is a historian interested in the study of the Iberian Empires, and early globalization in Colonial Mexico. Currently, her research explores the different life histories of those individuals called Afro-Iberians and Luso-Africans, who became mediating agents in the ports of the Modern Atlantic and the Gulf-Caribbean.

She is the author of several articles published in Mexican, Spanish and French scientific journals. She is also co-author of the book El puerto de Veracruz y Yanga. Sitios de la Memoria de la Esclavitud y las poblaciones africanas y afrodescendientes (2017).
