About Me

Dr Kriti Singh is an author, academician and social worker. She is an Assistant Professor in the Dept of Mass Communication, Sharda University, India. She has completed her PhD from GD Goenka University, India. Her doctoral thesis explores the Indian Media-Military Relationship in Jammu & Kashmir Conflict Post Kargil War. The study is based on a Grounded Theory Study. The study explores how the Indian Media-Military relationship has evolved with time and constructed a substantive theory on this evolution. 

She has authored one book, co-authored another and presently her third book is under publication. As an author and researcher her area of expertise are: Media-military relationship, media and conflict, information warfare, terrorism, and counter-terrorism. She is a member of various think tanks and higher educational institutions in both India and abroad.

As a social worker, she is Working President of a New Delhi-based NGO Capt Ayush Purusartha Foundation (Estb 2005)which is dedicated to social causes like health care, environment, information law, social justice, and education amongst the poor etc. She is also Honorary Director at Altruist Centre for Research, Training and Development (ACRTD), which envisions bringing research, training and development opportunities and infusing scientific temper in society, with special emphasis on women, weaker sections, and marginalised groups. 

She is the recipient of various awards and recognition, including the Best Researcher Award 2021 from a leading New- Delhi-based education think- tank in 2021. She also received an Award of Honour by Sharda University in recognition of her contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. She is also the recipient of the Vice Chancellor  Certificate of Honor,  Sharda University in recognition of her outstanding work on research in 2022. She has also recipient of the prestigious Dr Sarojini Naidu International Award for working women in 2022 for her earnest contribution to the development of society and inspiring the community.
