I am Director of the Photographic History Research Centre at DeMontfort University, Leicester. My research takes in all aspects of photography, science and industry from the invention of photography to the middle of the 20th century. In particular I am interested in in the material, economic and scientific aspects of photographic practices wherever we find them from classrooms to the archive to businesses.
