I am a PhD candidate at York University and am specializing in the Canadian Expeditionary Force’s efforts in World War One. I am also a daughter of British World War Two veterans. My father was a tank commander with the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry (Prince of Wales’ Own 10th Hussars) and earned the Military Cross for valour. My mother was a Nursing Sister with the Royal Navy and stationed in London during the Blitz.
