About Me
Roberta Marcaccio teaches History and Theory of Architecture at the AA and leads a Design Think Tank at the London School of Architecture (LSA). Alongside her teaching activities she works for the London-based studio DSDHA, overseeing the practice’s research and communication. In 2016, she was awarded a 2-year Research Fellowship in the Built Environment by the Royal Commission for The Exhibition of 1851, to study cycling and transport infrastructure in London.
Roberta studied Interior Architecture (MSc) at the Politecnico di Milano and received her Masters in Histories and Theories of Architecture from the AA in 2010. She has worked in an editorial capacity at Artifice (the architectural imprint of Black Dog Publishing) and has collaborated on the curation and realisation of exhibitions at the Milan Salone del Mobile, including Afrofuture (2013) and Hacked! (2012). Her writings have featured on Blueprint MagazineReal Estates (Bedford Press, 2014); Erasmus Effect (Quodlibet, 2014), Milano Architettura (Skira, 2015) and, for AA publications, she is currently working on a collection of essays spanning the prolific career of Ernesto N Rogers, which will be published in 2018.
